The Society of Family Planning (SFP) and Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) are committed to meeting the reproductive health care needs of women in the US at high risk for maternal mortality and morbidity, including their abortion and contraception needs. Given overlapping membership and shared areas of focus, SMFM and SFP are partnering to offer the SMFM and SFP Bridge Builder Awards. These awards seek to cultivate a more dynamic relationship between SMFM and SFP’s memberships and scholarship in order to improve research and clinical practice.
 
We will be accepting applications from January 27, 2020 to March 2, 2020. Please note that this request for proposals is open to any individual who has completed a Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, is a member of SMFM, and works and resides in the US.
 
In addition, we are also actively seeking volunteers among the SFP membership to serve as reviewers for this funding opportunity. Peer review is an integral part of the grant making process. We rely on the recommendations of the committee to direct awards and believe that constructive feedback strengthens our scientific community. If you are available and interested in serving as a reviewer, please complete the peer reviewer form expressing your interest no later than February 10, 2020.
